The Mary Philippa Brazill Foundation was established in 1993 for the
purpose of providing financial support for research and education in
ethics with an emphasis on the ethics of health care and with special
regard to the promotion of these activities in Catholic institutions
The Trustees of the Foundation invite applications for Grants for
2016 from individuals in their personal capacity and as representatives
institutions wishing to sponsor scholars and conferences.

Recipients of the grants awarded in 2015:
- Mrs Trudy Clarke, Director of Mission, Mater Health Services North Queensland (MHSNQ), Pimlico Townsville – $1,250 grant to assist MHSNQ to fund course fees in 2016 for five staff members to undertake the Decoding the Code online Ethics Course offered by Catholic Health Australia in conjunction with Broken Bay Institute.
- Professor Sandra Lynch, Director Institute of Ethics & Society, University of Notre Dame Australia, Broadway NSW - $4,500 grant to help cover costs to engage a Research Assistant in 2016 who will assist with Research Project: Healthcare Ethics Education and the Catholic University: To develop an evidence-based approach to the application of the Giving Voice to Values Professional Ethics Curriculum to Healthcare degrees at Catholic Universities in Australia, while also making explicit the curriculum’s philosophical and theological underpinnings.
